China expected to resume IPO approvals

China is poised to once again approve initial public offerings after a nine-month freeze as part of an effort to restore investor confidence and rein in wrongdoing. Yao Gang, vice chairman of the China Securities Regulatory Commission, reportedly told participants at an industry meeting this week that approvals of IPOs likely will resume at the end of July.
