Chobani hopes to open UK plant to capture market

Chobani is hoping to open a production facility in the UK in the relatively near future to better compete in that country, said founder Hamdi Ulukaya. Chobani has yet to take off in the UK as it has in the U.S. due to what Ulukaya calls a "tough" retail market, but he vows to persist. “We’ve looked at four or five options and hopefully we’ll do something this year. Our goal is always to have a factory near each market," he said.
