How educators are embracing the "maker" movement

Teachers and librarians across the country are embracing the "maker" movement to give students the time, space and tools to create hands-on learning experiences. For instance, Maryland middle-school librarian Gwyneth Jones guides students in the use of online tools to create animations, movies and graphic novels that they can share and sell. "They can create something that shows what they learned," Jones said.
