Ky. district offers learning experiences during the summer

A Kentucky school district is focused on keeping students learning during the summer months -- enrolling about 1,100 students in programs targeting students' individual interests. The courses -- some of which count toward school credits -- include physical-education programs, the "school of rock," comic book creation and the Summer Scholars program, in which select students enroll in a one-week, pre-college level class.
