Should you charge your customers extra for paying with plastic?

Merchants are now allowed to charge their customers extra for paying with credit cards, thanks to a recent court case. But certain states bar these surcharges, and even if allowed, they won't necessarily help your business, writes Kevin Fleming. "If customers can't use their debit or credit card at your store without paying a fee, they may simply go elsewhere," he warns.
