Survey: Many patients desire services through mobile devices

More than a third of Internet users said they were "extremely" or "very" interested in using their tablets or smartphones to communicate with physicians, set appointments or receive test results, according to a Harris Interactive/HealthDay survey. The study documented a similar level of interest in using such devices for medical services including checking blood glucose and blood pressure.
