Cameroon cocoa grinders increase bean purchases

Cameroon's cocoa grinders purchased slightly more cocoa beans by the end of May this year than they did last year -- 30,820 metric tons compared to 29,205 metric tons, according to National Cocoa and Coffee Board data. Barry Callebaut subsidiary Sic-Cacaos, the largest grinder, purchased 521 metric tons in May. The second-largest grinder, Chocolaterie Confiserie du Cameroun, has made no purchases since February.
