Ex-CIA head warns about cyberattacks in financial services

Michael Morell, former deputy and acting director of the CIA, told participants at the SIFMA Tech conference in New York that cyberespionage, cyberterrorism and cybercrime are the fastest growing threats to national security. The financial-services industry also faces cyberthreats, Morell said. "The only good news about cyber is the investment opportunities -- the markets for defences and insurance are exploding and will continue to do so," Morell said. "The cyber threat is now, it is serious and it is going to get much, much worse."
