Pa. lawmakers want state colleges to divulge more financial data

A Pennsylvania state Senate committee has passed a measure requiring state colleges and universities to publicly disclose information on salaries, budgets, revenues, contracts and other business data. "Given the level of public support that goes to these universities every year, it makes perfect sense to take this important step," said Senate Majority Leader Dominic Pileggi, R-9th District, who sponsored the bill.
