W3C faces pressure to drop do-not-track efforts

The World Wide Web Consortium is overstepping its roles with efforts to enforce "do not track" requests, noted Lou Mastria of the Digital Advertising Alliance. The group should "return to its mission of developing consensus around specifications for web technologies," he urged.
