Parliament committee to probe pharmaceutical industry

A committee of the U.K. parliament will launch an investigation into the pharmaceutical industry's influence on the National Health Service. The panel plans to look into matters such as drug innovation, the conduct of medical research, drug information and promotion and regulatory review of drug safety and efficacy. The inquiry is expected to begin later this year.
