Bill would require anti-missile technology on Airbus A380

Airbus would have to install technology to counter shoulder-fired missiles on its superjumbo jet under new legislation proposed by a senior Republican, according to media reports. John Mica, R-Fla., who chairs the House aviation subcommittee, introduced the bill requiring planes carrying more than 800 people to install the technology. The Air Transport Association opposes laws to mandate technology for airlines.
