Dallas to offer 400 electric mowers

The city of Dallas is using a $45,000 environmental grant to underwrite a large-scale lawn mower exchange. Residents who turn in gas-powered mowers will get a cordless electric model for $215, just over half the retail price. The city says 400 mowers will be available, by reservation only.
