FCC grants Sprint more time on spectrum swap

The FCC has approved Sprint Nextel's petition for a delay in having to swap wireless frequencies in the 800-MHz range with public-safety agencies by ruling on some of the channels in Sprint's request and putting off action on others. The swap is needed to avoid interference on those channels. Earlier this week, the FCC agreed to grant similar delays to 500 agencies that had requested them.
