BioElectronics seeks FDA approval for pain patch

BioElectronics has filed a 510(k) application with the FDA to market a pain patch for use in female patients suffering from menstrual cramping, called dysmenorrhea, without a prescription. The Allay Period Relief Patch, which consists of a computerized microchip and a battery, eases pain and swelling linked to menstrual pain by delivering pulsed electromagnetic field therapy.
