Not all obese people are at high risk of heart disease

Dutch researchers learned that some obese people may not be more prone to heart disease or diabetes if they don't exhibit other risk factors such as high cholesterol or high blood pressure. "Metabolically healthy obese persons do not have the elevated cardiovascular risk of obesity, but represent only a small subset of the total obese population," the study's lead author said.
