Verizon brings LTE to 46 new markets

Verizon Wireless will hook up 46 additional cities today to its Long-Term Evolution network, bringing its total 4G coverage to 304 markets, the carrier says, adding that it will also expand the network in 22 existing areas. A 15,000-square-mile swath in south-central Alaska will also come within range of an LTE network, as regional carrier Copper Valley Telecom says it has joined Verizon's LTE in Rural America program.
