FDA approves OTC sale of Plan B contraceptive for all ages

The FDA on Thursday approved the sale of Teva Pharmaceutical Industries' Plan B One-Step emergency contraceptive pill to all women of child-bearing age without a prescription. The move is in line with a federal court order in April to make the contraceptive available as an over-the-counter product without age or point-of-sale limitations.
