Ideas on introducing students to Twitter

Teaching students to use Twitter can give them a voice in the school, a platform to share what they are learning and can be an effective way to introduce them to the norms of social media, according to instructional coach Carrie Kamm. In this blog post, Kamm shares how educators at her Chicago school -- serving students in pre-K through eighth grades -- have established "Twitter Tuesdays" in which students and teachers use the tool to conduct school-wide discussions on particular topics of interest.
