Philippines may issue 10-, 15-year Treasury bonds

The Philippine government may issue 10- and 15-year Treasury bonds later in the year, its first such issue for 2013, said Roberto Juanchito T. Dispo, president of First Metro Investment Corp., one of the underwriters. "There is not much supply of the 10- and 15-year benchmark bonds in the market. Given that Philippine corporates are also issuing debt papers, they need to have benchmark papers to peg their rates," Dispo said.
