Survey: Most would give up personal data for better broadband deal

A majority of consumers are willing to share personal data with marketers in return for speedier broadband service, improved customer service or a better deal, according to a survey of 3,900 consumers carried out by Coleman Parkes for Amdocs, a billing and operations company. The survey found that 57% would offer information on their Facebook friends or location in return for the benefits.
