U.S. authorities urge blueberry exporters to tweak fruit fly treatment

The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service has approved a methyl bromide treatment for blueberries that uses lower temperatures to mitigate fruit flies. The agency says the switch should be immediate, and will help shippers in Argentina and Uruguay to ship their berries in better condition.
