Conventions business lags among overseas visitors

The growth of inbound travel for leisure and business overtook that of visits for trade shows and conferences in 2013, according to the Commerce Department's latest Survey of International Air Travelers. The study found that 56.9% of foreign visitors to the U.S. came for leisure, compared to 12% who came on business and 7.2% who came to attend a convention.
