Gates Foundation to fund study of malaria treatments

The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation has awarded a $1.25 million grant to Selecta Biosciences to study malaria treatments. The company is working on an immune activating Synthetic Vaccine Particle that could protect against the early stages of malaria and block transmission by infected mosquitoes.
