USDA expands program to offer yogurt in school lunches

A school lunch program in seven states will include Chobani Greek yogurt as a protein substitute, and the Upstate Niagara Cooperative in New York will provide Greek yogurt to an additional state, according to members of New York's congressional delegation. The yogurt option was successful in a four-state U.S. Agriculture Department test last year, when children consumed 200,000 pounds of the product.
