Dermot Co. selected to build New York retail/residential center

The New York City Economic Development Corp. has chosen the Dermot Co. to transform the site of the former Queens Family Courthouse in downtown Jamaica, N.Y., into a $130 million residential and retail project. Plans call for about 380 residential units for various income levels, 18,500 square feet of retail space, a 190-car garage and 25,000 square feet for other community purposes.
