Cost of labor big concern for hotel managers

Accounting for 44.6% of total hotel operating costs, labor expenses remain the largest expenditure for hotel managers, a study by PKF Hospitality Research shows. "Managers fear that the proposed changes to the union contracts, immigration laws and minimum wage will inhibit their ability to control this huge expense," said R. Mark Woodworth, president of PKF-HR.
