Sources: Gatorade CMO steps down

PepsiCo executive Cindy Alston, who helped transform Gatorade into the sixth biggest liquid-refreshment brand, reportedly has resigned for family reasons from her post as CMO of Gatorade and Propel. Matt Knott, marketing director for Propel, will take Alston's place as VP-marketing. Alston was not available for comment.
