Observation tower at Nebraska rail yard completed

After a decade of planning, a new $6 million observation tower has been completed in North Platte, Neb., offering views from above the world's largest switching yard. The Golden Spike Tower and Visitor Center overlooks the Union Pacific's Baily Yard, and promoters say it could eventually attract 50,000 visitors a year.
