AABB recommends that CFS patients do not donate blood

An AABB task force has recommended that people who have been diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome should not give blood. The task force was charged with reviewing available data and making recommendations after results of a study linked the condition to XMRV, a virus that potentially could be transmitted through blood donations. The step is an "interim measure until further definitive data are available," AABB said.
