Flooding brings insurance woes for some Oklahoma homeowners

Recent flooding in Oklahoma caused additional damage to properties that were also hit by severe flooding in May, compounding insurance problems for some property owners who bought a standard homeowners policy that excludes flood damage. "What's sad is to see someone who thinks their homeowners' insurance covers flooding -- and a lot of people do -- [and] to realize that everything has been destroyed and they have to pay to replace it," said Southwestern Insurance Information Service President Jerry Johns.
