Report: Brazil prioritizes spill's impact over BP-Devon deal

Brazilian authorities will delay clearance of BP's $7 billion acquisition of Devon Energy's properties there, as they evaluate the effects of the Gulf of Mexico oil spill, according to a newspaper report. Evaluating the transaction will include measuring BP's ability to honor contracts, the report said, citing the country's chief energy regulator.
