Summer activity-related head injuries are on the rise

The American Association of Neurological Surgeons analyzed head injury trends from 2008 to 2009 and found that summer activities -- especially bicycling, water sports and baseball/softball -- are contributing to an increase in sports-related head injuries treated in U.S. emergency departments.
