Veterinary experts are on alert for canine influenza virus

With the recent approval of the Canine Influenza Vaccine H3N8 Killed Virus by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, veterinary experts are on the lookout for signs of canine influenza virus, a highly infectious respiratory disease that afflicts dogs. According to AVMA, the two syndromes exhibited by dogs with canine influenza virus are a moist cough that lasts for 10 to 30 days and a dry cough similar to kennel cough.
