FAA could ease restrictions on electronic devices, sources say

The Federal Aviation Administration could ease restrictions on the use of personal electronic devices during flights, industry officials say. The FAA "recognizes consumers are intensely interested in the use of personal electronics aboard aircraft," which is why the agency assigned an advisory group to examine the safety issues and the feasibility of changing the restrictions, a spokeswoman said.
