Premium prices at distant U.S. refineries have led to record rail shipments of oil out of North Dakota, according to this article. The rail volume amounted to about three-fourths of the record 794,000 barrels of crude produced daily in April, according to Justin Kringstad, director of the North Dakota Pipeline Authority.
