Politicians shouldn't wish the vice presidency on their worst enemies, says "Veep" creator Armando Iannucci. American public life is about the relentless pursuit of primacy -- but the VP is doomed to be always the bridesmaid, and never the bride, Iannucci says. "Suddenly, you got this promotion. And yet all that power is effectively taken away from you and only given to you on a drip, drip basis by the president," he says.
