Planned space telescope reaches $1M crowd-funding goal

Planetary Resources has reached its $1 million fundraising goal to build a space telescope. The company launched its crowd-funding experiment three weeks ago and surpassed its goal this week with more than 12,000 backers. The company plans to build telescopes and robotic spacecraft to monitor and mine asteroids orbiting near Earth.
