Protesters across Brazil demand reform

Tens of thousands of demonstrators filled the streets across Brazil demanding reform on a wide range of issues, ranging from excessive spending on sports facilities and poorly funded schools to government corruption and high taxes. In response to the building crisis, President Dilma Rousseff postponed a trip to Japan. Brazil's Bovespa stock market index and its currency, the real, fell to four-year lows.
