Repair of concrete problems at Md. transit center could start by July

Repairs to correct concrete problems at the Silver Spring Transit Center in Maryland's Montgomery County could start by end of July if remediation plans submitted by the contractor are approved by the County Council, according to David Dise, director of the county’s Department of General Services. Remediation will involve the "removal of the top two to three inches of concrete of the sections" and the addition of a polymer overlay on the cracked concrete slabs. "The good news is that work is progressing and collaboration is alive and well," Dise says.
