SITA to test self-service technologies at Miami hub

SITA has teamed up with Miami International Airport in a seven-year deal to try to bring do-it-yourself boarding service AirportConnect Open to the airport. In the future, the company might also consider a pilot for near field communication technology at the hub, which would allow fliers to move through security checkpoints using their smartphones.
