White House wants businesses behind cybersecurity legislation

In a speech to a business group, Treasury Secretary Jack Lew emphasized a need for cybersecurity legislation as part of the Obama administration's push to improve safeguards against cyberthreats. "Specifically, we need Congress to pass legislation that improves cybersecurity," Lew said. "We also need legislation that can incentivize the adoption of best practices and standards for critical infrastructure by complementing the process set forth under the executive order."
