AT&T Wireless gets McDonald's, Kellogg's as SMS ad clients

AT&T Wireless has inked deals with McDonald's and Kellogg's to let them advertise to the mobile phone company's customers via text messaging. The Kellogg's campaign involves a sweepstakes promotion that requires customer participation; an AT&T spokesman said text messaging is attractive because it allows customers to respond immediately.
