Program teaches engineering basics to elementary-school students

A six-week class in South Florida is teaching elementary-school students the basics of computer science and robotics, subjects that program founder Lucy Tamez hopes will better prepare them for high-school science. "I realized that I wanted to teach students to learn science as early as possible," said Tamez, a former high-school physics teacher.
