Titles are a matter of respect

When a person works hard to attain a title, it's only fitting to recognize their accomplishment by addressing them properly, writes Alison Stewart. Some may dislike the formality or the sense of authority that a high-ranking title lends, but Stewart asks, "What does it really take away from you to recognize another's achievement?"
