Beyond U.S. regulatory reform, Wall Street faces Basel III

Wall Street executives have been monitoring negotiations on legislation to overhaul financial regulation in the U.S., but many are starting to shift their attention to the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision. The international banking watchdog has proposed Basel III, a reform of Basel II rules. For Citigroup CEO Vikram Pandit and his counterparts, the U.S. regulatory revamp could be mild compared with Basel III.
