Blow-up "icebergs" could breathe life into stalled projects

The recession has left hundreds of boarded-up construction sites dotted across America's cities, and designers at Woods Bagot think they have found a solution: inflatable icebergs. The 100% recyclable modular buildings use inflatable "air beams" to create dramatic sculptural spaces that can be installed and removed rapidly, and could offer a way for developers to make money from rent while they seek funding for more permanent projects.
