Judge rules against U.S. deepwater-drilling ban

U.S. District Judge Martin Feldman has overturned the government's six-month moratorium on deepwater oil and gas drilling. "If some drilling equipment parts are flawed, is it rational to say all are?" he wrote in his ruling. The judge also cautioned that the ban would have an "immeasurable effect" on the oil and gas industry, "the local economy" and the country's energy supply.
