Men find their careers upended by taking on caregiver role

Men who stay home to take care of children or aging relatives say they don't get much understanding -- or support -- from the workplace, Michelle Goodman writes. "All of a sudden that gap in your résumé is questioned by employers. Men who take time off to caregive are even more stigmatized than women going back in," says Sylvia Ann Hewlett, president of the Center for Work-Life Policy.
