The Environmental Protection Agency's decision to delay until at least September a ruling on raising the ethanol blend limit from E10 to E15 is a "disappointing" response to President Barack Obama's call for ending U.S. dependence on imported oil, writes Bob Dinneen, president and CEO of the Renewable Fuels Association. Among supporters of the move to E15 were both Nebraska senators. Meanwhile, both Dinneen and Sen. Charles Grassley, R-Iowa, wish the agency would at least approve 12% ethanol. Separately, Germany expects to move from E5 to E10 by the end of 2010.
